PRESSURE AREA CARE

Care Home and Hospital residents who have restricted movement are often confined to a bed or chair for extended periods, and the continual pressure this can apply to parts of the body can cause restricted flows of blood and oxygen to limbs and other pressure points.  Constant attention is required to ensure that this does not lead to sores, ulcers, and other unwelcome – and sometimes unnecessary - complications.
